Pulling Grips XIE-FO Fiber Optics
Description
Pulling Grips XIE-FO Fiber Optics Series are designed for pulling and installation of fiber optic cables in overhead, underground and conduits and enclosures.
Similar to X-FO model grips, the pulling grips XIE-FO Fiber Optics are equipped with an external flexible pulling eye (flex eye) AND additional internal eye. The internal eye is attached to a strength member found on some fiber optic cable. When the interior eye is used, the fiber remains neutral and will not detach from the exterior insulation. The grips wire mesh utilize reverse weave construction.
The grips are manufactured with high strength galvanized wire. Add “SS” to the end of the part number if stainless steel mesh is desired. Pulling Grips XIE-FO Fiber Optics is a member of X Series grips family.
Pulling Grips XIE-FO Fiber Optics Features:
Application — XIE-FO model grips are used for pulling fiber optic cables in overhead, underground, conduits and enclosures.
Flexible Eye — smooth surface and flexible eye makes the Pulling Grips XIE-FO Fiber Optics an excellent tool for pulling cables in and around confined areas.
Inner Eye — The internal eye is attached to a strength member found on some fiber optic cable. When the interior eye is used, the fiber remains neutral and will not detach from the exterior insulation.
Metal Shoulders — by enclosing the grip, the aluminum shoulder protectors of the pulling grip center the grip within a raceway and keeps the cables safe from abrasions.
The Reverse Weave of XIE-FO models eliminates the end crimping tabs and insures that the grip and cable will pass smoothly through even the tightest blocks, sheaves, bullwheels, etc.
Pulling Grips XIE-FO Fiber Optics series grips are identified by tags beneath the heavy duty clear tubing.

The heavy-duty X-HDFE models incorporate the use of exceptionally strong mesh, reverse weave, single wire bail and abrasion-resistant metal shoulders. These grips are made of tough un-coated aircraft strand galvanized wire. They are color coded for quick identification and organized storage.
The X Series grip is designed with the ball bearing swivel user in mind. The single wire eye allows a swivel to be attached to the grip easily and helps to alleviate any binding that may occur in the throat of the
X Series Grips Model X features metal sleeves (shoulders) near the top of the grip to eliminate wear when pulling through clay conduit, gravel or other abrasive pulling environments during a pull.
