Directional Boring Knuckle Joint Swivel LKJ-1301 is a patented Knuckle Joint and HD-3-S-Z Ball Bearing Swivel combination that connect the pulling swivel to the popular “Duckbill” style directional bits.
Both the Knuckle Joint and HD-3-SZ swivel are equipped with a Grease Zerk.

Connecting ball bearing swivel to a duck bill bit caused the swivel to protrude at an angle that caused premature wear and tear on both the swivel and the bit, but LKJ-1301 SOLVES that Problem!
The Knuckle Joint Swivel is equipped with a Grease Zerk that is located in a convenient and easy to access location that allows greasing of the swivel without having to take any pins out.
Knuckle Joint Swivel is manufactured from high-grade pre-stressed steel.
These patented ball bearing swivels are designed for HDD Boring / Directional Boring applications that require a greasable swivel.
Proper placement of thrust and radial bearing allow thrust & shock loads to be absorbed without affecting rotation of swivel. Pins are screwdriver removable.
Knuckle Joint HDD Swivel LKJ-1301 allows the swivel to be pulled back in a straight line. This speeds up the process of pulling back, reducing the amount of drag that previously had to be addressed.
It helps eliminate wear and tear on directional boring bits by maximizing the strength of the usable bolt size and minimizing bending of the attachment point hole.
The LKJ-1 quickly and easily attaches and detaches with one Allen head bolt. It can be ordered with either a saucer shaped deflector or the standard guard, depending on customer preference. The deflector and the guard help prevent shear loads and prevent costly pull back hangups.
