Dropping a tool or an object down the drill shaft of a drilling rig leads to expensive shut downs to get the object out. Lewis Rotary Table Skirt is designed to be used as a protective skirt (drop-tool barrier) on the rotary table around a stopped drill pipe before any repair work or maintenance work is performed.
The Lewis Rotary Table Skirt is constructed of 22 oz. Heavy-Duty Waterproof Nylon. The skirt is round with an overlapping slit on one side that fastens with hook-loop strips to fit around various diameter drilling pipes on a rig.
